2006 Third Annual Theatre Event

TheatreASAP is a 24-hour theatre-making event presented by the San Antonio Theatre Coalition and designed to showcase the diversity and talent of the local theatre community.  Friday night at 8pm, six respected San Antonio playwrights will be randomly assigned a subject.  They will spend that night writing their play.  Saturday morning, the actors and directors will find out which show they're working with.  Saturday evening, at 8pm, the show will go on - six ten-minute plays, written, directed, rehearsed and performed in 24 hours!

Another One Done!!

It was not without a few hitches and one last minute replacement, but all in all, it was a lot of fun, and a great show ... great casts, great playwrights, great directors, great audience ... all in all a thoroughly wonderful experience.

I just wanted to send out a thank you to everyone at SATCO for making the 2006 Theater ASAP experience a GREAT one!

Everyone at SATCO welcomed me into the family and for that I am truly grateful!!!!!

Congrats on pulling another one off and a well deserved rave review. Oooooh! We're a "must see"
See you next year, Chris Champlin

Thank you for all of your hard work and patience last Saturday at THEATRE ASAP. It was a fun day of theatre and I am glad I was allowed to participate. I thought that it all went smoothly, thanks to your preparation and attention to details. The aftershow party was so nice. Thanks to SATCO for the great food! (and to Terri and Allen et. al. who cleaned up afterwards!)

I also want to send out a huge thanks and GOOD SHOW to our fabulous crew and tech! That stage manager was awesome! She had everyone in place, ready to go, moved props and furniture, and did it all with a calm voice and a certainty that made it so enjoyable. The sound and lights were uncommonly wonderful too. I hope that Rick and Ricki have recovered from the all day tech!

I met my goals of meeting new people and having fun. My sincere appreciation to you all!

Best regards,
Anna Gangai
